Valentino Garavani — known simply as Valentino — was one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century. His signature "Valentino red" became one of the most recognisable colours in fashion, and he dressed everyone from Jacqueline Kennedy to Julia Roberts. He founded his fashion house in Rome in 1960 and built it into a global luxury brand synonymous with Italian elegance and glamour.
