Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali

Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali was one of Malaysia's earliest Malay women doctors, graduating from the King Edward VII College of Medicine in Singapore in 1955 and working in the Health Ministry on public health and maternal and child healthcare. She married Mahathir Mohamad in 1956, and later held leadership roles in the Girl Guides Association of Malaysia and worked on family welfare, women's development and drug prevention. Her son Mokhzani Mahathir confirmed that she died on September 28 at the age of 100.
