Ruby Andrews

Ruby Andrews was a Chicago soul legend whose 1967 debut single "Casanova (Your Playing Days Are Over)" became a regional hit and established her as a distinctive voice in the city's thriving soul scene. Born in Hollandale, Mississippi, she moved to Chicago as a child and built a career releasing soulful, blues-tinged records through the 1960s and 70s. She was later inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame. She died at 79 at her home in Chicago.
