Robin Morgan

Robin Morgan was a leading voice of radical feminism, best known for editing the 1970 anthology Sisterhood Is Powerful, one of the essential texts of the modern women's movement. She was among the organisers of the 1968 protest against the Miss America pageant, later served as editor-in-chief of Ms. magazine, and wrote more than 20 books of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. She is credited with coining the word "herstory". As a child she appeared in the television series Mama. Her son Blake Morgan said she died in New York on September 5 at the age of 85.
