Frank Beard

Frank Beard joined ZZ Top in 1969 and, with Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill, formed one of the most enduring line-ups in rock history. The trio broke through in the 1970s with albums such as Tres Hombres and songs including "La Grange" and "Tush", then became global stars in the 1980s with "Gimme All Your Lovin'", "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Legs". He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the band in 2004. He died at 77 while in hospice care at his ranch in Richmond, Texas, surrounded by his family.
