Brooke Eby was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2022 at the age of 33, after a decade working at Salesforce, and went on to build one of the largest online communities devoted to the disease, with hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram. Using humour and candour, she documented the progression of her illness and founded ALStogether, an online hub connecting people living with ALS to resources and to one another. A native of Potomac, Maryland, she died of complications of ALS at the age of 37. The ALS Network announced her death on October 1.
